This position is for 2nd shift M‑Th 1:30 p‑12 midnight. The role is responsible for conducting and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in a variety of settings, including warehouses and food‑processing areas, in accordance with FDA regulatory requirements and company procedures and policies.
Responsibilities and Duties- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and maintaining grounds.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables properly via satellite stations and using a compactor for space minimization.
- Use and operate cleaning machines and equipment safely (ladders, step stools, floor scrubber, pallet jack, box cutter, etc.).
- Promote and adhere to company safety work rules and regulations.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation duties in assigned areas.
- Perform cleaning and upkeep duties necessary for the proper functioning of machines and buildings.
- Disassemble and assemble simple mechanisms.
- Handle a water hose that dispenses hot water at a normal to high pressure.
- Communicate any problems or changes in sanitation cleanliness or quality to supervisor and appropriate personnel.
- Understand and adhere to the concepts and techniques of the quality process to ensure a quality operation.
- Cleans and sanitizes food‑processing equipment and facilities, including grounds, trash, disposal, and chemical dispensing.
- Wear required PPE.
- Clean hand‑wash and sanitizing stations.
- Clean drinking stations.
- Complete machine/equipment/room/station logs; document performances performed.
- Work in temperatures of extreme hot, cold, high humidity, slippery, and uneven surfaces; handle chemicals, reports, equipment, and other related items requiring non‑routine attention.
- Fill all dispensers, foamers, and cleaning/sanitizing tanks with specified SOP ratios of cleaning and sanitizing agents.
- Attend and participate in all GMP training, safety training, and any other job‑specific required training.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Read, write, and communicate in English to perform necessary duties.
- Previous or similar work experience is preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrate flexibility when re‑prioritization is necessary.
- Work in a fast‑paced team environment.
- Work independently with little to no supervision.
- Be able to work overtime when BRC deems it necessary.
- Work with chemical solutions.
- Maintain attention to detail.
- Lift (up to 50 lbs), stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, stretch, step, climb occasionally during the duration of the shift, and work in a wet environment.
