What you will do in this role:

  • Participate in maintaining and disseminating drug information through in-service education of hospital personnel, consultation with patients, hospital, and medical staff.
  • Assist other pharmacists and technicians with routine duties as needed. Provide professional and technical guidance to pharmacy staff.
  • Exercise professional judgment in providing therapeutic and drug information to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Be competent in treating adult and geriatric patients, as appropriate to the hospital's patient population.
  • Capable of entering at least 40 orders per four-hour shift.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Pharmacist degree.
  • Current state license in good standing.
  • Minimum of three months of pharmacy experience. Working knowledge of OSHA, JCAHO, HCFA, and state guidelines. Experience in team facilitation and policy writing.
