Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Coordinator/DON for Skilled Nursing, the Nursing Department Coordinator is responsible for performing clerical duties and assisting in the day‑to‑day functioning of the Skilled Nursing Department as assigned. General duties include maintaining the staffing schedules, assisting with time entry and payroll, and preparing data and reports for meetings and management. Assists with planning and implementation of the patient’s daily program schedule.
Plans for the activity schedule during times not present on the unit.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.
MINIMUM
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Previous administrative experience preferred. Healthcare experience preferred.
REQUIRED
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Experience in Microsoft Office required. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to multitask. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
