Laboratory Department Coordinator - Full Time - Days
Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Director and Manager, the Laboratory Department Coordinator is responsible for performing clerical duties and assisting the Pathologist and Technologists in the day‑to‑day functioning of the Laboratory Department. The role includes phlebotomy duties, assisting in performing approved testing and gathering data for quality reports, tracking reference lab results, etc.
Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or GED; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered. Associate's Degree or higher preferred.
Minimum Work Experience1-3 Years' experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
Required Licenses/CertificationsNone.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesThe knowledge and skills to perform duties using word processing, database and spreadsheets in the computer and phlebotomy skills preferred.
