Role Responsibilities:
- Monitor patient safety and milieu, including checks, safety monitoring, and observing for changes in condition.
- Assist RNs with patient care tasks such as vital signs, specimen collection, documentation, and patient education.
- Manage the patient environment to promote positive experiences.
- Escort patients during activities outside the unit, including meals, breaks, visits, and appointments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma preferred.
- Experience in psychiatric healthcare, especially with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or geriatric patients, is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, good MVR, and proof of insurance required if using personal or hospital vehicle.
- CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of hire.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
