Role Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient safety and milieu, including checks, safety monitoring, and observing for changes in condition.
• Assist RNs with patient care tasks such as vital signs, specimen collection, documentation, and patient education.
• Manage the patient environment to promote positive experiences.
• Escort patients during activities outside the unit, including meals, breaks, visits, and appointments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience in psychiatric healthcare, especially with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or geriatric patients, is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, good MVR, and proof of insurance required if using personal or hospital vehicle.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of hire.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
