Educator

Right At School provides local school districts before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind. Part‑Time After‑School Staff (Educators)

Salary: $15–$17 per hour (based on education, experience).

Schedule

2:25 pm – 6:30 pm. Must be available full schedule Monday through Friday; partial work weeks not accommodated.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED, at least 18 years of age, and six months of prior experience in a group childcare setting or school‑type environment (verification required). Full availability Monday through Friday at the scheduled time is required.

You’ll Drive the Mission By
  • Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
  • Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character‑building that expands school‑day learning meaningfully.
  • Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain safety, well‑being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fitness activities, and guiding play.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with varied audiences, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
  • Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.

Ideal Candidates Will Have the Following
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills.
  • High School Diploma/GED and at least 18 years of age.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • At least six months of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
  • Ability to meet state‑specific requirements (CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills with varied audiences.
