Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role in Richmond, TX, for a Front Desk Receptionist. The role involves the following:

  • 8:00am-5:30pm Monday through Thursday
  • 8:00am-3:00pm Friday
  • Support paralegals and attorneys in a legal environment, employing critical thinking skills and initiative, to further improve office procedures and client relations.
  • Answer phones, fielding calls for staff.
  • Greet and treat clients and visitors in a professional, yet welcoming, manner.
  • Prepare correspondence, such as letters, memos, and emails. Proper grammar, formatting, and attention to detail are a must.
  • Set up client files, to include:
    • Preparing Client Memos
    • Researching public data, such as obituaries, appraisal district records, and real property records, and saving same to client file.
  • Assist in client meetings, ensuring file is adequately and timely prepared for attorney review, prioritizing a clean environment in the conference room, and serving water and coffee to clients.
  • Respond to website inquiries from potential clients.
  • Schedule and confirm client appointments.
  • Keep track of stocking drinks, snacks, sweets, and everyday items.
  • Take deeds to be recorded at the County Clerk’s office once or twice a week.
  • Take mail to the post office once or twice a week.
  • Check the mailbox daily.
  • Post checks to Time Slips.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel skills required.
  • Marketing and social media experience is a plus.
