* Performs all clerical duties for department.
* Answers telephone inquiries and/or routes to appropriate person.
* Provides information as requested and assists other employees, attorneys, and the public.
* Trains other employees and assists co-workers with duties.
* Interfaces with other County departments to effect inter-departmental action in areas of mutual concern.
* Tracks and monitors budget expenditures; orders and stock supplies.
* Prepares travel authorizations and makes travel arrangements for department personnel.
* Process incoming and interoffice mail.
* Notarize documents as needed.
* Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
* Administrative support involving behavioral health issues (in the office, in collaborative meetings, and/or virtually when approved)
* Coordinate CIT Transports and administrate the required documentation
* Coordinate efforts between FBCSO Communications Division / EMS first responders and Mental Health Authorities to effectively capture data regarding persons experiencing a behavioral health crisis
* Provide administrative assistance where appropriate to aid in preventing crisis situations
* Perform administrative duties to ensure that Team goals and reporting are fulfilled
* Act as a resource to other FBCSO personnel concerning behavioral/ mental health crisis issues
* This qualified professional will participate in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* Valid Texas Driver’s License
* High School Diploma/GED
* 3 years job related experience.
* Good computer and typing skills (minimum 60 WPM), 10-Key by touch; basic bookkeeping skills; strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials.
* Training in office management, working knowledge of County government and Texas justice system.
