The Elementary At-Risk Coordinator supports preK–5 students who demonstrate academic, behavioral, social-emotional, or attendance concerns through data analysis. At-risk coordinators will support staff in implementing interventions and collaborating with teachers, parents, and community resources, focusing on improving attendance, behavior, and academic success for those at risk of dropping out or failing.

Skills & Qualifications
  • High school degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience working with children is required
  • Candidates with an interest in education, social work, or similar who either possess or are working towards such a degree are preferred.
  • Flexible, dependable, and builds positive relationships with all students
  • Excellent communication (written/oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills, preferred or willing to be trained.
Key Responsibilities
  • Student Identification & Monitoring:
    Use data (attendance, grades, behavior) to pinpoint at-risk students and track their progress.
  • Intervention & Support:
    Develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    Work as a liaison between teachers, administration, counselors, parents, and outside agencies to create a supportive environment and share strategies, including connecting families with local community resources.
  • Program Development:
    Design, manage, and evaluate programs for academic and behavioral improvement, including building level committees such as BLT (building leadership team), BAT (Building and Trauma informed), or similar.
  • Attendance & Behavior:
    Assist administration with chronic attendance & behavior issues.
