• Personal Care Assistance:
  Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while ensuring comfort, privacy, and dignity.
• Safety and Security:
  Monitor residents for distress, illness, or emergencies; follow safety protocols, including fall prevention, and respond appropriately to incidents.
• Documentation:
  Maintain accurate records of resident care, changes in condition, medication administration, and daily activities.
• Communication:
  Collaborate with the nursing team, caregivers, and other staff to ensure seamless communication about residents’ needs and updates.
• Resident Engagement:
  Plan and participate in recreational activities, exercise programs, and social events to support physical and emotional well-being; tailor activities to residents’ interests.
• Maintain Residents’ Privacy:
  Protect residents’ privacy and confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA and facility policies.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) or equivalent.

  Detail-oriented to ensure residents are comfortable and safe.

The Resident Assistant primarily works within the assisted living unit. The role involves hands-on work, exposure to diverse needs, and interaction with residents, families, and staff.

Physical Demands:
Regularly stands, bends, talks, walks, sits, climbs stairs, lifts and/or moves items up to 50 pounds, and may assist with resident transfers using proper body mechanics. Vision requirements include multiple aspects of vision; smell may be required to support resident safety and quality care.
