ABD applicants may be considered with evidence of a scheduled doctoral defense that occurs no later than May prior to a Fall appointment and must have their doctoral degree awarded (verified by official transcripts) at the time of appointment.

Preference is given to candidates equipped to teach in more than one accounting area.

Relevant credentials (e.g., CPA, CMA, other professional licenses and designations) are welcomed but not essential. In addition to teaching, conducting and publishing high-quality scholarly research and providing service to the profession, the University, and the business community consistent with EKU’s mission are required.

The University places a high priority on being leaders in the responsible use of artificial intelligence and in building such capacity in our students.
