WEKU is an award-winning NPR member station based in Richmond, Kentucky and owned by Eastern Kentucky University. Broadcasting on 10 FM stations, WEKU serves more than 1.5 million residents in Northern, Central, and Eastern Kentucky.
Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role for a News reporter located in Richmond, KY.
Qualifications- Experience in reporting, writing, and editing broadcast, print, or online news
- Proficiency with broadcasting equipment
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with NPR programming and public radio standards is a plus
- A bachelor's degree in Communications, Media Studies, or a related field is required
