Job Summary /Basic Functions

The WEKU reporter is responsible for reporting short form stories, long form features, interviews and digital content.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree Required

Experience:

Two years of related work experience is required, with experience in reporting and producing broadcast and digital news preferred

Journalism/Communication Degree preferred

Job Duties:

* 30% - Collaborate with reporting teams from Kentucky Public Radio and Appalachian Mid-South Newsroom to produce broadcast and digital content - (Essential)

* 65% - Create long and short form broadcast and digital reporting on stories of interest to Northern, Central and Eastern Kentucky communities - (Essential)

* 5% - Other duties as assigned - (Essential)
