Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager/Estimator to join our team in the commercial drywall sector. This role is pivotal in managing all aspects of drywall installation projects, with a focus on cost estimation, operational management, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional quality work in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities Project Management- Lead the entire lifecycle of commercial drywall projects, encompassing planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Manage project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to guarantee timely and budget-compliant project completion.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to meet project specifications and requirements.
- Track project progress and modify schedules, resources, and priorities to resolve challenges as they arise.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and quality standards throughout the project duration.
- Provide leadership and support to project teams, supervising daily operations and addressing any conflicts or challenges.
- Analyze project plans, blueprints, and specifications to develop precise cost estimates for commercial drywall projects.
- Perform detailed take-offs and calculate material, labor, and equipment costs necessary for the project.
- Review bid documents and work with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
- Deliver detailed cost breakdowns to clients and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Identify project risks and recommend cost‑saving opportunities or design alterations to maintain budget integrity.
- Monitor changes in project scope, timelines, and costs, providing timely updates and change orders to clients.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, progress reports, and financial records.
- Ensure all paperwork related to the project is accurate, complete, and submitted promptly.
- Compile final project reports, including post‑project evaluations and lessons learned.
- Act as the primary contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective communication throughout the project.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, cost tracking, and scheduling changes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; or equivalent work experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Project Management or Estimation within the commercial drywall or construction industries.
- Extensive knowledge of drywall installation processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Proven success in managing large‑scale commercial projects from inception to completion.
- Skills:
- Exceptional estimating skills with proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, On‑Screen Takeoff).
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of juggling multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with construction safety standards and building codes.
