Schedule:

Sunday through Thursday, 7:30a-4p. Off Friday and Saturday.

About the Position

This position will be focused on PAR replenishment, patient room cart stocking, and backup for the Mailroom. Will be part of the holiday rotation. Occasional overtime required. Will be required to assist in other aspects of inventory management, which may include the following:
Warehouse Operations.

Warehouse Operations
  • Responsible for accurately putting supplies into and issuing supplies from inventory. Ensures all supplies are properly placed in their respective bin location, stock is rotated, and supplies are in adequate supply and within proper expiration dates.
  • Advises supervisor of stock outages and any concern regarding supply levels.
  • Performs weekly cycle counts to reconcile on-hand balances to Workday balances, seeking a 98% accuracy rate.
  • Performs first or second checks on Intubation Trays, Crash Carts, Latex Free Carts, and C-Section Carts.
  • Breaks down and transports unneeded boxes to compactor/baler.
  • Responsible for safely transporting and maintaining compressed gas cylinders throughout the facility.
  • Performs appropriate transactions in Workday reflecting shipping feedback, miscellaneous issues, returns, etc.
  • Performs periodic shelf checks and performs routine warehouse housekeeping duties.
Distribution Operations
  • Conducts counts of assigned PAR locations and carts. Responsible for accuracy of supplies quantities and product availability in assigned locations.
  • Maintains PAR locations to ensure cleanliness, accurate placement of supplies, product sterility, and product out dates.
  • Processes return items to inventory ensuring that appropriate credits are provided to departments and stock on hand quantities remain accurate.
  • Breaks down and transports unneeded boxes to compactor/baler.
  • Responsible for the accurate and legible labeling of PAR bin locations.
  • In cases of stock outages, performs stock reallocation activities between PAR supply locations to ensure that all areas have needed supplies.
  • Transports supplies to appropriate nursing unit and/or departments.
  • Resupplies nurse server carts in occupied patient rooms.
Receiving and Delivery Operations
  • Signs for shipments acknowledging receipt of freight/goods. Assists, as appropriate, with the off-loading of goods.
  • Refuses receipt of products which are visibly damaged or do not comply with the purchase order. Obtains signature of drivers in event of visible damage and takes photos as appropriate.
  • Opens containers, inspects product, counts, and verifies unit of measure by comparing to the purchase order. Makes appropriate notes of discrepancies and notifies Purchasing Agent for resolution.
  • Performs receipt transactions in Workday.
  • For non-PO shipments; records receipt in the Manual Receiving Log.
  • Forwards original packing slips to Purchasing for filing.
  • Delivers merchandise to appropriate end-users. Provides department with a delivery ticket and obtains delivery signature.
Mail Room Operations
  • Performs sorting and routing of incoming USPS mail in a timely manner.
  • Prepares outgoing mail for processing by USPS by weighing, labeling, stamping, etc.
  • Packages, weighs, labels, and documents items for shipment via UPS, Fed Ex, etc. Provides for appropriate charging of departments and/or individuals for these services.
  • Prepares inter-office mail for delivery by courier and volunteer.
  • Operates postage meter.
  • Transports mail to post office in emergencies and/or absence of the courier.
General Duties
  • Must wear, at employee's expense, the department approved uniform.
  • Must maintain zero Unreleased Requisition s on a daily basis.
  • Must maintain zero Unreleased Shipments on a daily basis.
  • Must maintain zero Waiting for Shipment Documents on a daily basis.
  • Must maintain zero Unreleased Receivers, on a daily basis.
  • All products must be delivered to requesting department on day of request.
  • The Inventory control areas (including PAR Locations and Mailroom) must be maintained in a clean, neat, orderly, and professional manor, on a daily basis.
  • Must process all outgoing overnight mail by 4:00pm, daily.
  • No medical procedure may be cancelled and/or postponed as a result of inadequate and/or substandard products.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous work history that demonstrates ability to handle high volumes of work and to work as a team is required.
  • Two years of work experience in a warehouse or healthcare supply chain environment is preferred.
