Timing and Location

The start date of this position is not yet finalized and will coincide with the construction progress of our facility; we expect the incumbent will start in either Q3 or Q4 of 2026.

This position is based out of Richmond, Indiana. The incumbent can work remotely initially but must be based in Richmond, Indiana full‑time prior to the facility start‑up (a competitive relocation package is available).

Work schedule:

Monday to Friday, days; occasional overtime, evenings and weekends, will be required; on‑call support for evening and weekend coverage will be required.

us as a Quality Specialist

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our engineering partners, equipment vendors, process engineering team and manufacturing operations team to help establish and operate an industry‑leading precision fermentation facility.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support and help lead food safety and quality assurance programs, including HACCP, GMP, and internal audits.
  • Investigate and manage customer complaints, non‑conformances, and CAPAs.
  • Conduct and support internal and external audits, including documentation and follow‑up.
  • Assist with customer questionnaires and regulatory inquiries.
  • Assist with customer inquiries on standard documentation requests.
  • Assist with food safety certification processes and maintenance.
  • Maintain and calibrate analytical instrumentation used in QA/QC testing.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in QC testing of raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products when necessary.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate and organized quality documentation and records.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of PCQI or equivalent food safety plans.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing operations to maintain quality control systems.
  • Maintain lab organization and cleanliness.
  • Follow good laboratory practices to maintain good record‑keeping practices.
