This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Quality Control Manager to take ownership of the plant’s quality program, influence production outcomes, and help shape the future of quality across the organization.
Position OverviewThe Quality Control Manager leads and directs all quality control activities to ensure products consistently meet established standards for performance, reliability, and customer expectations. This role partners closely with plant leadership, production, and vendors to drive quality excellence throughout the manufacturing process.
You’ll play a key role in developing quality strategy, implementing inspection systems, training teams, and driving continuous improvement
, while leading a team responsible for inspection and testing activities.
- Lead, develop, and continuously improve the plant’s quality control program
- Analyze statistical data and product specifications to define quality standards and reliability expectations
- Establish and maintain quality control objectives aligned with company goals
- Develop inspection criteria, testing procedures, and quality documentation
- Partner with production and plant leadership to improve product reliability and reduce costs
- Oversee inspection and testing activities throughout the full production cycle
- Apply Total Quality Management (TQM) and continuous improvement tools across departments
- Lead and support employees engaged in inspection and testing activities
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure incoming material quality
- Train and educate teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices
- Support audits, corrective actions, and long-term quality initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Management, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred
- Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
- 5–7 years of experience in a quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on execution
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Detail‑oriented, self‑driven, and committed to continuous improvement
