Hyperion Solutions is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team, supporting our Hyperion EECO Richmond plant. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position contributes to the manufacturing of elevator products by delivering high-quality welding services that ensure structural integrity, safety, and quality.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform welding tasks with meticulous attention to detail to meet or exceed established procedures and specifications for production requirements. Use various hand tools, push carts, and machinery to stage work area.
  • Adhere to the assigned production schedule and meet or exceed daily production targets.
Quality Control
  • Read and interpret blueprints and tape measures to assemble products that meet quality standards. Inspect parts for defects or irregularities and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal team to determine root cause of a problem and assist in implementing corrective actions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, increasing efficiency, and reducing waste.
Work Area Maintenance
  • Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
Safety Compliance
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment. Help leadership identify areas of improvement to establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 12 years of experience with MIG Welding preferred
  • Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments such as a tape measure
  • Ability to safely use and lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for up to 8 hours per day
  • Able to provide personal welding helmet
  • Prompt and regular attendance required
