Overview
Matthews International is hiring an Assembly Operator for our production facility in the Richmond, IN area. The role focuses on assembling memorialization products using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, adhesives, and fasteners to meet production standards and schedules.

- Work with production supervisors and operate various machinery to meet production needs.
- Determine parts to be manufactured based on orders and inventory.
- Observe and maintain machinery operation, identifying defects or malfunctions.
- Multi‑task and cross‑train in other departments and machines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum 1 year of production or machine operator experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use a variety of hand tools and basic power and measuring tools.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- Attention to detail and ability to read production documents.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
