Is this you?

  • You’re energized by keeping a sulphuric acid production facility running safely and reliably.
  • You can weld, cut, and burn to code — and you’re just as comfortable aligning couplings as you are fabricating supports.
  • You diagnose, repair, and rebuild rotating equipment (pumps, gearboxes, motors) with precision.
  • You don’t mind getting hands-on: tank vessel openings/cleanouts, valve and piping changes, and plant upkeep.
  • You close the loop with thorough documentation and preventive maintenance in the CMMS, always following SOPs.
  • You’re prepared for periodic off-shift emergency callouts (including weekends/holidays) and can work outdoors and at heights in PPE.
What you will do
  • Perform certified welding, cutting, and burning.
  • Repair and overhaul pumps, gearboxes, and motors.
  • Complete precision alignment of mechanical power transmission systems (couplings/sheaves).
  • Change out piping and valves and verify integrity.
  • Open and clean tank vessels following safe work practices.
  • Maintain grounds and facilities to high standards.
  • Serve on the site emergency response team.
  • Execute work orders and preventive maintenance; complete safety and maintenance forms.
What you bring
  • 3+ years in industrial maintenance; chemical environment preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency with computers (MS Office, email, maintenance management systems).
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, O&M manuals, procedures, OEM docs, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Comfort working in all weather and at heights with PPE.

Compensation and classification

Compensation: $49.07/hr to start, non-exempt
