Overview
Independently-owned, state-of-the-art, full-service facility practicing high-quality medicine in an affluent and pet friendly community, is looking for a full time experienced Assistant Manager in Veterinary field to perform the following tasks:
The Role- The Assistant Manager is responsible for creating a culture of encouragement, mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members incorporating the company’s vision, mission, and core values.
- The Assistant Manager will collaborate with the hospital Medical Director and Practice Manager to ensure effective deployment of medical services.
- Ensure compliance and accountability for all standard hospital operating procedures as well as full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and all applicable laws governing veterinary business operations.
- Accountable for client and referring veterinarian satisfaction.
- Supervision/Training:
Expertise with phone protocols, calls screening, responding to emails, elevated client concerns, creating opportunities for growth and advancement. - Facilities Maintenance:
Equipment maintenance and upkeep. - Human Resources:
Hiring, training, managing, inspiring, discipline, relief coverage coordination, licensing administration, benefits administration, regulatory compliance, sexual harassment training, OSHA, ADA, workers compensation administration, creating an inclusive and respectful environment. - Operations Management:
Workflow efficiency and quality control, inventory management, client service protocols and efficiency improvement, client communications, staff scheduling.

. - Recent experience in hands-on operations position may help a candidate to be successful in this role.
- Prior experience in hospitality management or retail operations will make the operations manager successful.
- Candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and 2 plus years of business and people leadership experience.
- Veterinary industry experience is required and a comfort level working within a clinical setting will be necessary.
