Summary
The Project Manager is Manson's authorized project representative with responsibility for all aspects of the project including safety, environmental, quality, ethics, financial, contractual, and schedule compliance. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

- Leadership of the project team including motivating, managing, teaching and mentoring the members to create an efficient team working in a positive work environment.
- Executes the project by ensuring all work meets quality standards and is performed in compliance with all contract and permit requirements.
- Reviews project proposal/plan to determine and coordinate time frames, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
- Responsible for the timely completion of the work by utilizing a CPM baseline schedule and monthly schedule updates that are submitted and approved by the client.
- Schedules and ensures adequate resources are available to the project including management staff, crews, equipment and supplies.
- Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Effectively communicates contract changes, entitlement arguments and time/cost impact analysis. Responsible for all contract negotiations with the client and vendors. Conducts negotiations in good faith based on fairness, cooperation and standard of business ethics.
- Responsible for the financial success of the project. Ensures financial progress is tracked accurately and that labor, cost and forecast reports are completed weekly/monthly.
- Work as member of the estimating team during the project procurement phase.
- Responsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment.
- Ensures compliance with Manson's Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct. Maintain a high standard of ethical behavior, encourages ethical behavior in others, supports ethical decisions and actively seeks appropriate resolution to potential ethical conflicts.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
- Leads and directly supervises employees on a construction site.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Directs best work practices in conjunction with the VP/Area Manager.
