Job Summary
Part‑time limited position of approximately 17 hours per week, with flexible hours. The Vaccines for Children Program (VFC) is a Federal funded program that helps families by providing no‑cost vaccines to doctors who serve eligible children 0 through 18 years of age. The VFC program is administered at the state level by the Immunization Branch, California Department of Public Health. Enrolled VFC providers can order vaccine through the state VFC Program to provide routine immunizations to eligible children with low or no out‑of‑pocket costs.

ResponsibilitiesSupport VFC Program Health Facility Evaluators and the Health Education Supervisor by performing clerical tasks such as filing, telephone support, photocopying, scheduling, and other duties necessary to support program operations.
Required Qualifications- High school graduation or equivalent education and experience
- Detail‑oriented and able to work independently
- Basic understanding of Microsoft software, including Access and Excel
- Basic knowledge of general clerical functions such as filing, telephone, photocopying, scheduling, and the like
- Own adequate transportation, possession of a valid CA Driver’s License, and proof of current automobile insurance
- Quantitative and data management skills
- Full‑time or part‑time student currently enrolled in a university program in the sciences, public health, or a related field
- Interest and coursework in public health or a related scientific field
- Valid CA Driver’s license
