- Overseeing all stages of project life cycle and ensuring that projects are completed within time and budget constraints.
- Supervising the construction process to ensure all safety and quality control standards are met.
- Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they fully understand expectations and responsibilities.
- Reviewing work progress on a daily basis and resolving any arising issues or delays.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
- Ensuring that all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
- Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to job status and progress.
- Implementing strategies to prevent delays and stay on schedule and budget.
- Conducting regular meetings with project teams and stakeholders, reporting on progress, obstacles, and solutions.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a superintendent role within the construction industry, with a significant part of that experience being in healthcare construction.
- A bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- An in-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Excellent knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional problem‑solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant computer applications.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- A proven track record of completing projects to specifications and within budget and timeline.
- Current with latest construction industry trends, materials, and customer preferences.
