Job TitleStarbucks Supervisor
OverviewAs a Starbucks Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts, deploy partners, delegate tasks, and create the Starbucks Experience by providing legendary customer service.
Responsibilities- Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote Starbucks culture, values, and mission.
- Maintains a calm demeanor during high volume periods and sets a positive example for the shift team.
- Anticipates customer and store needs by evaluating environment and customers for cues.
- Communicates information to the manager to allow the team to respond and create the Third Place environment.
- Assists with new partner training, providing coaching and feedback.
- Contributes to a positive team environment by recognizing changes in partner morale and performance.
- Creates a learning environment with clear, respectful coaching.
- Delivers legendary customer service, acting with a customer‑first attitude.
- Develops positive relationships with the shift team.
- Executes store operations, including opening and closing duties.
- Follows operational policies, cash handling, safety, and security procedures.
- Ensures proper cash management practices.
- Ensures delivery of legendary customer service during the shift.
- Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in a Starbucks Store or related field, or equivalent education and experience combination.
- Proficiency in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules, liquor laws, and regulations.
- Long hours sometimes required.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, and 20 lbs frequently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective listening, multitasking, and prioritization.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a courteous, friendly manner.
- Attend all required meetings and trainings.
- Participate in M.O.D coverage as required.
- Maintain regular attendance according to hotel standards.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
- Comply with hotel standards and regulations.
- Identify problem areas, implement solutions, and maximize productivity.
- Handle problems, anticipate, prevent, and solve them.
- Understand and evaluate complex information from various sources.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
