Impact

Open Text is seeking a dynamic and experienced SOC Sr. Manager to lead a Security Operations Center (SOC) team and manage our India operations for Managed Security Services Practice. This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of security operations, building a high‑performing team, and contributing to the continued growth of our cybersecurity services. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee team staffing, scheduling, and performance management to ensure 24/7 operational coverage and adherence to service level objectives.
  • Establish and standardize delivery practices to drive consistency, efficiency, and quality across engagements.
  • Provide both technical and operational thought leadership in the delivery of Managed Security Services.
  • Ensure high‑quality customer engagements that align with business goals and exceed expectations.
  • Collaborate with sales and presales teams to support business development and drive revenue growth.
  • Deliver strategic cybersecurity guidance to customers and prospects, helping them navigate evolving threats and technologies.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams across global time zones to scope, plan, and deliver global security operations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve workflows, incorporating automation and process enhancements to increase efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics and dashboards; regularly report on KPIs such as incident volume, response times, and threat trends.
  • Ensure operations align with regulatory requirements and support internal/external audits as needed.
  • Support the professional development of team members through training plans, mentorship, and career growth initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years in a technical leadership or people management role within a SOC or cybersecurity environment.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies, frameworks (e.g., NIST, MITRE ATT&CK), and threat landscapes.
  • Proven ability to manage remote, geographically distributed teams with diverse skill sets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects on time and within scope.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with billable services and utilization tracking is a plus.
