AI Integration Specialist (Manufacturing)
We are currently seeking an AI Integration Specialist (Manufacturing) with in depth experience in manufacturing and AI solutions for ERP, MES, SCADA and PLC systems.
Responsibilities Strategic Assessment & Opportunity Identification- Map current manufacturing processes to identify high-impact AI opportunities.
- Analyze production data, downtime patterns, bottlenecks, and operational pain points.
- Develop business cases for AI-driven improvements with ROI calculations.
- Stay current on emerging AI tools, industrial analytics platforms, and automation technologies.
- Lead the implementation of AI tools for:
- Predictive maintenance and equipment health monitoring
- Quality inspection using computer vision
- Automated scheduling and workflow optimization
- Real-time production analytics and anomaly detection
- Demand forecasting and inventory management
- Integrate AI solutions with existing ERP, MES, SCADA, PLC, and plant-floor systems.
- Work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Information Services and Technology, to ensure seamless deployment.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data is collected, structured, and accessible for AI use cases.
- Define and manage data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting systems.
- Establish data governance and ongoing model monitoring processes.
- Managers, operators, and supervisors on new AI tools.
- Develop SOPs and training material for AI-enabled workflows.
- Serve as the internal advocate and cultural champion for AI adoption across facilities.
- Evaluate potential partners, software platforms, and integrators.
- Manage pilot programs and vendor relationships.
- Ensure all solutions meet security, compliance, and scalability requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience with AI, data analytics, or industrial automation.
- Experience with programming tools such as Python, R, or C++.
- Experience with AI modeling tools such as Tensor Flow or Py Torch
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS and Amazon Q, GCP and Gemini, or Azure and Copilot.
- Understanding of manufacturing systems (SCADA, PLCs, MES, ERP).
- Familiarity with industrial data pipelines, IoT devices, sensors, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with NLP, reinforcement learning, Computer Vision
- Strong skills in data analytics, visualization, and dashboard creation.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a practical, hands-on mindset.
- Strong communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical teams.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and drive change in a production environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and eagerness to explore new technologies.
This is a permanent role with an annual salary of $ – $ plus benefits located in Vaughan, ON.
