Our client located in Richmond Hill empowers the world's largest telecommunications companies to provide new network experiences for their customers by enabling complete lifecycle management of profitable next generation data services. This is a newly created position and if you have a solid 2-3 years experience within a software development environment please apply.

• Sun Solaris servers and workstations
• Cisco routers and switches
• Database (Informix or Oracle) installation and configuration
• Daily backup and restore (Veritas)
• Troubleshooting Sun workstations and servers
• Provide support (H/W, OS & Applications) to Unix developers
• 7 x 24 Diagnosis of issues and provide solutions to problems that arise

• Assist in evaluating and capacity planning of the existing Unix development and networking environment
• Create and maintain documentation of all troubleshooting solutions as well as enterprise configurations

• Some travel required

• Hardware:
  Sun Solaris servers/workstations and Cisco routers and switches
• Operating System:
  Solaris 8/9, Cisco IOS
• Applications:
  Clear Case, Informix, Oracle, Sun compilers and development tools

• Sun, Cisco and Informix or Oracle certifications would be definite asset

• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent in technology related field desirable
