Personal Caregiver – Bayshore Health Care

Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and general household management.
- Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events.
- Administer personal care services in accordance with the care plan directives.
- Ensure the emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients to the highest standard.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, tailored to meet their specific needs.
- Perform specialized procedures for clients where training has been provided and demonstrate current competency.
- Observe and document client conditions in line with company standards; promptly report any unusual events or changes in client condition to the Supervisor or Office.
- Implement and adhere to infection prevention practices.

- Completion of a formal, accredited PSW training program and relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of caregiving principles and customer service.
- Ability to communicate in spoken and written English; proficiency in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Cantonese, or Mandarin is an asset.
- Provide high‑quality care services to clients with current knowledge of community care practices.
- Physical ability to assist clients with movement and repositioning; able to lift 23 kg, squat, bend, stand, and reach.
- Reliable mode of transportation; driver’s license and automobile ownership considered an asset.
- Clear criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
Depending on provincial regulations and the position applied for, new hires may be required to provide proof of vaccination against illnesses such as COVID‑19, Hepatitis, seasonal flu, etc. Medical exemptions or those based on Human Rights Code criteria will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
