Structural Engineer; EIT

At Q Engineering, we’re looking for a motivated Structural EIT to work under senior engineers on design, analysis, and construction support—building real project experience while progressing toward your P.Eng. licensure.

• Bachelor’s in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• EIT designation or PEO eligibility.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience (new grads considered).
• Proficiency with analysis software (SAP
  2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, RISA) and drafting/modeling (AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla).
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; team-oriented mindset.

• Structural analysis & design: Perform calculations for loads, forces, and member capacities.
• Drafting & modeling: Prepare plans, details, and 3D models in AutoCAD/Revit/Tekla.
• Codes & compliance: Apply IBC, ACI, ASCE, ASTM, CSA, NBCC, and OBC standards.
• Materials & specs: Work with concrete, steel, timber, and composites.
• Site & construction support: Attend inspections/field reviews and coordinate with contractors.
• Documentation: Compile reports, design calcs, and technical correspondence.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients.
