Accounts Receivable Manager

About the Opportunity

• Manage the full tuition billing cycle, including schedule changes, discounts, credits, and late fees
• Oversee payment processing (online portals, pre‑authorized payments, subsidies)
• Monitor AR aging and lead collection efforts
• Ensure compliance for childcare subsidies and government funding programs
• Partner with Center Directors to maintain accurate attendance and enrollment data
• Handle escalated billing concerns and communicate with families in a supportive, professional manner
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of five AR/billing staff
• Prepare AR reports, forecasts, and delinquency summaries
• Maintain financial controls and support audits
• Ad hoc tasks provided by management

• 3–5 years Accounts Receivable experience (childcare or service‑based industry preferred)
• Familiarity with childcare billing platforms (Kindertales) is an asset
• Familiarity with accounting principles (debits, credits, journal entries etc.)
• Strong understanding of AR processes, subsidies, and tuition billing
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills

$75,000 - $100,000 /year
