Senior Associate – Assurance & Accounting – Richmond Hill

About the JobThis opportunity is ideal for a CPA-designated public accounting professional with strong technical capabilities in assurance and tax. What You’ll Accomplish in This Role Assurance & Audit- Execute audits and reviews from planning to completion
- Develop engagement programs including risk analysis and materiality
- Apply firm audit and accounting methodologies across engagements
- Prepare corporate, personal, trust, and partnership tax returns
- Prepare T4/T5/NR4 information slips, GST/HST, EHT, WSIB, ETD calculations, and other filings
- Prepare tax schedules and working papers within Case Ware
- Prepare files, financial statements, and draft tax returns
- Distinguish between compilation and assurance engagements
- Provide coaching and mentorship to junior staff
- Manage concurrent assignments and deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- Collaborate with administration for onboarding, documentation, and workflow
- Maintain daily timesheets, attend meetings, and communicate engagement status
- CPA designation (mandatory)
- 2–3 years of experience in public accounting
- Experience with IFRS, ASPE, NPO, and/or Public Sector frameworks
- Strong tax compliance knowledge
- Excellent client service skills and relationship‑building ability
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Case Ware (asset)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Compensation: $80,000 – $95,000
Location: Richmond Hill – Hybrid (3 days/week in office mandatory)
Vacation: 3+ weeks
