Job Summary
The Lead ACA is responsible for leading a team of technicians in a line maintenance environment to address aircraft defects and operational events in a timely and equitable manner. Communication about task completion and aircraft serviceability to the supervisor or MOC is also a key element to this role.Duties & Responsibilities Ensure that all maintenance activities are accomplished in accordance with the policies and procedures contained in the MCM, MPM, DPDs, aircraft and component maintenance manuals and Transport Canada requirements Maintain an AME M2 or E license and ACA qualifications on company aircraft and assume the responsibilities of an ACA if the operation requires support Liaise with MOC and Operations to schedule overnight work packages, hangar availability, and gate movements Responsible for all Apprentices, AMEs, and ACAs for the delegation and timely completion of assigned tasks Assist with ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance, generating logs for any equipment that requires repair Responsible to ensure the consumable materials and tooling stored in the hangar and service vehicles are maintained in a neat and tidy manner Responsible to assist with AOG maintenance system-wide by providing workforce ability when required Ensure the hangar work areas, terminal work areas and service vehicles are kept clean in an effort to maintain a safe work environment Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations;
understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy Other duties and tasks as assigned Behavioural Competencies Concern for Safety:

Qualifications Post-secondary education Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership role Transport Canada issued AME M2 or E license DHC-8-Q400 and/or Embraer E2 endorsements an asset Well organized, detail oriented and able to work autonomously Proven self-starter with good time management skills and ability to multitask Ability to obtain airside security clearance Successfully complete the company background and pre-employment screening tests Valid G driver’s license
