This position delivers and picks up packages to and from residential and/or commercial properties. He/She utilizes safe transportation methods to get to and from destinations. This position ensures the best customer service through efficiency and dedication. He/She leverages technology to effectively aid in delivery services.

UPS is currently looking for Full-Time Class 1 Drivers (Tractor-Trailer Operations) to work based in our Vancouver Hub (YVR Area).

In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers to transport cargo to designated locations both in the Lower Mainland and in Washington State, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. Your responsibilities will include adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability.

On a daily basis, UPS Feeder Drivers are to complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on their assigned vehicle. Also, they are responsible in completing their daily delivery and pick-up schedules. They should be comfortable using road maps and other trip planning aids and be able to solve dispatch problems on route.

• Drive UPS single/twin 28ft trailers;
• Drive UPS 48ft or 53ft trailers;
• Follow and execute UPS defensive driving methods;
• Provide outstanding customer service and complete assigned tasks within specified time;
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damages before and after deliveries or pick‑ups;
• Adhere to and comply with applicable federal, provincial and state laws, regulations and/or agency rules;
• Maintain the cleanliness of assigned UPS road equipment;

• Excellent Customer Service & Verbal Communications skills;
• Must possess a valid BC Class 1 Driver’s License;
• Must have a clean 5‑yr BC Commercial Driving Record or Abstract (National Safety Code Abstract or N)
• Able to occasionally lift, up to 70‑lbs (32‑kg) unassisted;
• Ability to apply, obtain and maintain a FAST clearance to enter as a commercial driver in the United States, including ability to comply with all regulations under 49 CFR Part 40 and of the FMCSA;
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment;
