Busperson/Serving Assistant – Gordon Ramsay Steak

Under the direction of the Shift Manager, the Server Assistant at Gordon Ramsay Steak is responsible for creating a remarkable experience and exceptional hospitality. The role involves manicuring active tables, clearing, preparing, and resetting vacant tables, and working with team members to maintain the highest quality of service while adhering to all policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities- Assist greeting guests warmly and escorting them to their tables as necessary.
- Ensure tables are clean and properly set up for service. Remove used dishes, glasses, and utensils promptly and clean tables efficiently between courses and after guests depart.
- Assist guests with any immediate needs, such as refilling water glasses and providing additional napkins or utensils.
- Support servers by running food to tables, delivering non‑alcoholic beverages, and assisting with any guest requests.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring that restrooms are tidy and well‑stocked.
- Keep server stations stocked with necessary items such as clean silverware, glassware, and plates.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, such as setting up and breaking down tables, polishing silverware and glassware, and ensuring that all areas are ready for service.
- Work collaboratively with the entire service team to ensure that guests have a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in a restaurant environment; fine dining experience is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for providing great experiences and memories to all guests, both external and internal.
- Able to work effectively under pressure to meet multiple deadlines with particular attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to plan effectively and work without direct supervision.
- Serving It Right Certificate.
- Ability to obtain a criminal background check.
