TAPP Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join a multidisciplinary outpatient mental health team in Comox BC.

Location: Comox BC - Work on a military base
T4 Contract available at $67.75 per hour.
Hours: 37.5/week, 7.5 hr days, M-F days (typically 7:30–4:00), 1 hour lunch time
Work schedule: 18-22 hours per week of direct client care, with built-in time for admin and team meetings.

TAPP Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join a multidisciplinary outpatient mental health team in Comox, BC. This role focuses on delivering evidence-based mental health care to adults, with an emphasis on operational trauma, occupational health, and deployment-related care.
Responsibilities- Intake, crisis interventions biopsychosocial assessment, individual therapy, medication monitoring.
- Must use CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based, or Solution-Focused Therapy.
Note: - Resume must demonstrate experience and professional development related to these treatment modalities.
- MUST meet 1/3 education pathways listed:
- Bachelor degree in Nursing from a recognized institution AND one of the following
: - Post-graduate Certificate in Mental Health Nursing
- CNA Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (CPMHN)
- Bachelor degree in Nursing from a recognized institution AND one of the following
- Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing (or equivalent)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution AND a Psychiatric Nursing diploma
- Minimum 3 years of mental health nursing experience within the last 5 years (No gaps)
- Must have resided in Canada consecutively in the last 5 years (No gaps) in order to pass clearance
- Experience in adult community mental health settings
- Strong skills in psychotherapy,
CBT
, solution-focused therapy, and crisis intervention - Current RN license in British Columbia
- BLS or CPR/AED Level C (or willingness to obtain)
International Education Candidates: Are eligible. Candidates must provide an education evaluation letter confirming equivalency to a Canadian degree. A copy of this letter will be required during the screening process.
