Forklift Operator - Corrugate Division

About the Role

We are looking to welcome an energetic self‑starter, mechanically inclined and detail‑oriented Forklift Driver to join our Corrugate team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a team‑oriented environment and embraces our Continuous Improvement working culture. We are hiring at our Mitchell Island location at 11300 Twigg Place on our morning shift:
Monday‑Friday, 7:00am‑3:30pm.

The typical hiring range for this position is $20.00‑22.50/hour.

• Operate sit‑down counterbalance forklifts (e.g. propane and/or electric).
• Responsible for picking and staging orders in the warehouse.
• Use laptop and barcode system to locate the product.
• Ensure finished goods are packaged and tagged accurately so as to be ready for shipping.
• Unload production line and put product away in designated areas in the warehouse.
• Ensure processes and systems are being followed properly and that paperwork is filled out accordingly and forwarded in a timely manner.
• Continually look for ways to improve process efficiencies in the manufacturing of corrugated products.
• Responsible for the quality of products manufactured when transferring them from one area to another.
• Ensure that all equipment is operating properly and inform appropriate personnel of any problems.
• Ensure that the corrugate area is kept clean and is always organized.
• Count inventory as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating the forklift.
• Other general warehouse related duties as requested by appropriate company personnel.

• Current forklift certificate Class 1, 4, 5 required.
• 3‑5 years of forklift experience required.
• Effective communication skills and ability to follow written instructions.
• Ability to work well with people in a team environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
