Position Summary
River Rock Casino Resort is seeking a qualified, detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Shift Manager, Food & Beverage. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day activities of the Food and Beverage operation(s) or Bar Operations on a shift basis while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning and directing of F&B operations, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures, maintaining food and beverage labour costs, sources out new products and services, motivates and leads by example and provides a learning environment.
The Duty Manager, Food & Beverage also develops Performance Objectives and delivers Performance Evaluations for direct reports and assists with the implementation all new F&B or Bar Operations projects. Superior public relations and a professional manner must be exhibited at all times.
Duties and responsibilities for our next Shift Manager will include:
Scheduling and supervising employeesAssigning shift work assignmentsMonitoring cash outs and forwarding discrepancy reports to management/accountingCompleting shift reports for management and for the next shiftDirecting the day-to-day activities of Food & Beverage employeesOrganizing and assisting with conducting monthly inventory count and forwarding inventory reports to managementAssisting in maximizing the revenues of the outlet or bar while minimizing operating costsDeveloping and cultivating Great Experiences and Memories with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulationsPerforming other duties as assigned or directedSuccessful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
Post-Secondary hospitality or hotel education or a suitable combination of education and experienceSIR, Smart Serve or IGB CertificateFood Safe Level 1 & 2 CertificateComputer literacy in MS OfficePOS experienceMinimum 1 year food and beverage team lead experienceAbility to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communicationA commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guestsA willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional developmentLive GCE’s Values on the job:
