Primary

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Personal Care:
    Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
  • Medication Management:
    Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules. Monitor and report any changes in medication needs or side effects.
  • Companionship and Emotional Support:
    Engage in meaningful conversations, actively listen, and provide emotional support to clients. Foster a positive and supportive environment.
  • Light Housekeeping:
    Perform light housekeeping tasks, including tidying up clients' living areas and laundry and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers:
    Ensuring the safety and well-being of clients. Proficient in safe lifting techniques and experienced with overhead lifts.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    Maintain accurate records of client care, including daily activities, medication administration, and any changes in health status. Report concerns, incidents, or significant observations to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professionals.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, admins, healthcare professionals, and other members of the caregiving team.
  • Comply with Regulations and Policies:
    Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to client care, privacy, confidentiality, and occupational health and safety.

    Demonstrates genuine concern for clients' well-being and emotional needs, showing empathy and compassion in their caregiving approach.

    Consistently shows up on time and follows the agreed-upon schedule. Demonstrates reliability in fulfilling caregiving duties and responsibilities.

    Maintains a high level of integrity, honesty, and confidentiality in all interactions with clients, their families, and the caregiving team.

    Skills:

    Demonstrates clear and effective verbal and written communication skills. Listens attentively and conveys information in a manner that is easily understood.

    Exhibits strong problem-solving skills, able to think quickly on their feet and adapt to changing circumstances or unexpected situations while maintaining client safety and well-being.
