Field Staff, crop production – Sik-E-Dakh Farm School (ISFS) – Competition

Join Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Sik‑E‑Dakh Farm School as a Field Staff member. This position involves seasonal field work including harvesting, weeding, crop maintenance, and related tasks. The role supports the education and well‑being of the Sik‑E‑Dakh band community and contributes to regenerative agriculture practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all farm tasks including transplanting, harvesting, post‑processing, weeding, and seeding.
  • Provide mentorship to community members participating in the Sik‑E‑Dakh Farm School in basic farm tasks.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of farm experience.
  • Keen interest in small‑scale, regenerative agriculture.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift 45 lbs repeatedly.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate is an asset.
