Job OverviewRichmond Hospital is a busy 200+ bed community teaching hospital located in Richmond, BC. With approximately 58,000 ED visits per year, the Emergency Department operates 11 scheduled shifts daily and serves a diverse mix of adult and paediatric patients.
Responsibilities- Provide primary emergency care in a high‑volume ED setting.
- Participate in scheduled shifts, ensuring coverage and continuity of care.
- Engage in education activities (Journal Club, Education Rounds, M&M Rounds, fortnightly Mock Codes).
- Utilize sabbatical program as a full‑time member if applicable.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Mandatory.
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) – Mandatory.
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) – Full.
- Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) – Emergency Medicine – Mandatory.
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL) – Desired.
- Engaged, collegial group with fair, transparent scheduling.
- Active education program.
- Volunteer sabbatical program.
- Respectful relationships with other departments and administration.
