We currently have an opening in the Richmond, BC for a:

Estimator

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing competitive bids and supporting project teams through the preconstruction phase on complex civil infrastructure projects.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for heavy civil and water/wastewater projects
• Perform quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and pricing for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure complete scope coverage
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Assist with bid strategy development and risk assessment
• Support preparation of tender submissions, budgets, and value engineering options
• Collaborate closely with project management, engineering, and construction teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools, processes, and standards

Education and Experience:

• 5+ years of estimating experience with a general or civil contractor
• Strong background in heavy civil infrastructure, with water and wastewater project experience considered essential
• Experience working for established contractors in the BC or Canadian civil construction market
• Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Strong understanding of construction methods, contracts, and estimating best practices
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
