Shift: Tuesday and Thursday 7:00am - 9:00am & 2:00pm - 5:30pm

Salary: $23.14 per hour

Nature & ScopeJoin Our Team! We’re hiring a part-time Support & Inclusion Facilitator for our before and after school program. This role focuses on creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for all children, especially those with diverse needs. You’ll work closely with a supportive team to provide individualized care, promote positive social interactions, and help adapt activities to ensure every child feels valued and included.

- Provide consistent support to a child with diverse needs, ensuring their full participation in daily activities.
- Assist in implementing individualized care and support plans, and contribute to their ongoing development and review.
- Collaborate with the program team to create an inclusive, supportive environment for all children, including those with diverse needs.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing review of individualized care and support plans.

- Promote each child’s strengths while supporting areas of growth through inclusive programming and interactions.
- Maintain enhanced supervision and ensure the child’s safety, engagement and well-being at all times.
- Foster a sense of belonging and inclusion for every child through consistent, compassionate, and strengths
-based support.
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Experience working with children with diverse needs in a childcare, school, or recreational setting. Ideally with children in the age range of 5-12.
- Knowledge of inclusive practices, child development, and behavior support strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to the needs of the child and program.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Emergency First Aid and CRC – C & AED
- 20 hours of training in Child Development, Child Guidance and/or Nutrition an asset
- Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references
- Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.
