Job DescriptionSUMMARY
Provide oversight support to external and internal auditing efforts. Perform as a qualified auditor in Quality Assurance Division (QAD) independent audits, or surveillances.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Office of River Protection (ORP) in its efforts to manage and oversee the projects in accordance with Department of Energy (DOE) Orders, Hanford procedures, and the HFO (Hanford Field Office) Quality Assurance Program Description.
- Provide quality-related oversight support (performing as an oversight team member lead) to Federal Project Directors in addressing performance issues and verifying the completion of facility milestones.
- Conduct reviews of Contractor actions to address DOE Inspector General (OIG) Recommendations.
- Conduct effectiveness reviews of Contractor actions and OIG Recommendations.
- Review and comment on new and revised QAD procedures and oversight reports to ensure the documents are of high technical quality.
- Review causal analysis and actions taken to prevent the recurrence of conditions adverse to quality.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or business management.
- Nine (9) years of directly applicable successful experience as a management consultant or senior manager interfacing and working with organizational executives and senior management, or senior technical or business individuals, within government or industry on significant management, technical, or business issues.
- Highly experienced in QA audits and startup and commissioning/operations for QA Program implementation.
- Working knowledge of DOE policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of corrective action programs and causal analysis.
- Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Working level knowledge of Hanford’s Quality Assurance programs.
- Experienced in Quality Assurance as an auditor or lead auditor.
- Knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities and priorities.
- Knowledge of DOE program and project management practices, policies, and procedures.
- Experience in supporting programs and projects with analysis, tracking, monitoring, assessment, review and coordination.
- Familiarity with or ability to learn/use other technology management tools employed at Hanford.
- Excellent communication responsiveness and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office tools.
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
TRAVEL
The expected travel time is less than 25%.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in a professional office setting, including the normal office equipment (e.g., computer, fax machines, copier) and with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing; occasional walking or standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 30 pounds. Moderate to extended periods of office work with heavy periods of computer usage. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE
- Pay range: $155,000to $160,000per year.
