Overview

Become a Substitute Nurse in the Snoqualmie Valley School District! This position is open to anyone wishing to be added to the district's Substitute Nurse pool for the 2025/26 school year.

Qualifications
  • Valid WA State Registered Nurse License OR WA State ESA Certificate with an endorsement as a School Nurse.
  • Certification status: certificated or classified nurses accepted.
Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive health and nursing services to assigned schools within the structure of Snoqualmie Valley's Public Schools Health Services Department.

Training & Requirements
  • Substitute Nurses must complete two days of paid training prior to substituting in a building.
  • Provide official college transcripts to Human Resources upon hire.
Compensation
  • Certificated Substitute Nurse:
    Full day (7.5 hours) is $202.42;
    Half day is $101.21.
  • Classified Substitute Nurse: $44.98 per hour (2025/26 PSE Salary Schedule).
Benefits Eligibility
  • Insurance:
    Not eligible unless 630 hours worked in a school year; then eligible for medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, basic life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance.
  • Retirement Plans:
    Eligible for a 403(b) TSA Retirement Savings Plan.
  • Paid Holidays:
    Not eligible.
  • Paid Time Off:
    Not eligible.
