Lactation Educator RN

Under the general direction of the Unit Manager, the Lactation Educator encourages and supports breastfeeding for Kadlec Medical Center families, including inpatients, outpatients, prenatal clients, and employees. They update nursing staff and physicians on current breastfeeding information and perform related duties as assigned.

Part-time, 24 hours weekly, variable shift.

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher) from an accredited institution, or degree in progress. If BSN or higher is in progress, must be completed within 3 years from date of hire.
• Upon hire:
  Washington Registered Nurse License.
• Upon hire:
  National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
• 1 year recent nursing experience, with emphasis on breastfeeding experience.
