A day in the life of the Emergency Management/Readiness Assurance Manager includes, but is not limited to:
- Subject Matter Expert for CPCCo Emergency Management Program
- Development and implementation of a rigorous Emergency Management Self-Assessment program that identifies deficiencies and corrective actions
- Active use of Lessons Learned from DOE OPEXShare along with Cooperate Emergency Management Working Group
- Assist in the development/tracking of Corrective Action Plans associated with external findings
- Oversight of program Corrective Actions, to include tracking, trending and program indicators
- Ensure Emergency Preparedness Technical Planning documents are accurate, current and adhere to approved schedule
- Maintenance, oversight and alignment of Emergency Preparedness procedures and processes
- Ensure Emergency Management contractual requirements are met
- Manage CPCCo procedure changes as it applies to Site Emergency Management flow down requirements
- Approval authority for Building Emergency Plans and Facility Response Plans
- Emergency Management point of contact for Environmental requirements
- Provide mentoring and direction to Emergency Preparedness training requirements and material
- Participate in project planning/scheduling activities to provide Emergency Preparedness input to changes
- On-call, after hours work limited but as required
- Be able to respond to a site Emergency when requested
- Fulfill an Emergency Operations Center position as required
- Stand in for Safeguards, Security & Emergency Services Manager and Emergency Preparedness Manager as needed
- Manager Grade 20 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 8 years of relevant experience
- Manager Grade 21 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 10 years of relevant experience
- The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
- Previous Emergency Management Assessment lead experience
- Previous Emergency Preparedness Drill or Training lead/management experience
- FEMA courses; IS-100, 120, 230, 235, 240, 241 and 242
- DOE or DOE Site Incident Command System class
- Current or past Emergency Response Organization or Emergency Operations Center member
- Working knowledge of Emergency Management Technical Planning Documents;
Hazards Survey, Emergency Planning Hazards Assessment and Emergency Action Levels - Familiarity with Hanford Site Emergency Management Plan and processes
- Detail oriented, self-motivation and desire to achieve program excellence
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
- Grade 20: $114,700 - $183,450
- Grade 21: $126,200 - $202,000
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
