Respiratory Care Practitioner and Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner — Respiratory Therapy Unit — Kadlec Regional Medical Center Richland, WA
Kadlec is offering a $20,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment.
This is a combined posting for Respiratory Care Practitioners and Senior Respiratory Care Practitioners. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Under the direction of the Respiratory Therapy services leadership, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for ensuring all treatments and procedures are carried out according to provider orders. Respiratory therapy operates within all areas of the medical center and assignments will be made based on skills and abilities. Care is provided in areas including but not limited to NICU, Adult ICU, Emergency Department, Birth Center, and general medicine.
Respiratory Therapists may also work in the outpatient pulmonary rehab area. Pulmonary Function Lab operates as a separate entity and requires additional specialized training.
Under the direction of the Respiratory Therapy department leadership, the Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner maintains standards of professional respiratory care and performs related duties as assigned. Performs all duties of staff RT and acts as a resource to other staff members, may train or communicate instructions to other employees, and inspects work to separate acceptable work from unacceptable. The role does not hire, fire, discipline, promote, demote, transfer, or appraise performance.

Respiratory Care PractitionerSalary: $36.31 – $57.70
Shift details: Full‑time, 0.9 FTE (36 working hours per week), variable shift.
Required qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
- Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License required upon hire
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association required upon hire
- National Provider ACLS – American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire
- National Provider PALS – American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited educational institution
- 1 year of Respiratory Care Practitioner experience in an acute care medical setting
Salary: $37.95 – $60.22
Shift details: Full‑time, 0.9 FTE (36 working hours per week), variable shift.
Required qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
- Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License required upon hire
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association required upon hire
- National Provider ACLS – American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire
- National Provider PALS – American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire
- 2 years of Respiratory Care Practitioner experience in an acute care medical setting
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited educational institution
- Recent NICU, adult CCU and open heart experience
