Responsibilities- Lead thorough evaluations of telecommunication projects to determine electrical needs and specifications
- Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to collect essential information for precise estimate preparation
- Identify potential project risks and propose strategies to minimise or mitigate those risks
- Analyse internal company data to support the accuracy of electrical cost estimates
- Prepare detailed estimates covering materials, labour, and equipment expenses for electrical installations
- Review electrical drawings and plans to inform and validate cost projections
- Utilise computer estimating tools such as Accubid and Bluebeam to assist in developing reliable electrical cost forecasts
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar or related role
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to pass background and drug screenings upon hire, as this role is safety-sensitive and based on a military installation
- Familiarity with Accubid software for estimating purposes
- Willingness to travel outside Washington State for bid opportunities
- Proven track record in electrical estimating for commercial and government projects
- Experience working on government electrical projects is essential
- Solid knowledge of electrical telecommunications construction or infrastructure project management principles
- Experience with design-build project delivery methods
- Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) along with relevant local electrical regulations
