Job DescriptionPro Sidian Seeks an Environmental Compliance Consultant - GSSC [1099 Contractor Senior Consultant] located in The Hanford Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area to Provide services and support as an Environmental Compliance Consultant (PR0162) at The Hanford Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area.
Overview Provide Environmental Compliance Consultant services as part of general support services for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site, Assistant Manager for Tank Farms (AMTF), Tank Farms Project Division (TPD).
Responsibilities and Duties- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site, AMTF, and TPD require support for organization, analysis, and review of regulatory compliance documentation for tank farm closure; supporting oversight and management of closure regulatory requirements; and providing technical and regulatory assistance via policy, strategy, guidance, analysis, interpretation, and responses. TPD requests one full-time equivalent (FTE) general support contractor (1920 labor hours) to provide support in the following areas:
- Tank Closure Documentation – analyze and review regulatory compliance and supporting documentation for tank closure in accordance with environmental laws and regulatory requirements applicable to Hanford (e.g., performance assessments, risk assessments, closure plans, RCRA Facility Investigation/Corrective Measures Studies).
- Technical Assistance – support the development of regulatory, permitting, compliance, tank closure, and Hanford policy and strategy as well as regulatory analysis, guidance, recommendation, and responses.
General
- Provide day-to-day support for tank closure activities.
- Develop written products (including emails and reports) and provide verbal communications (including briefs to DOE) regarding environmental regulatory activities performed in support of DOE.
- Perform tank closure reviews/evaluations as necessary to support DOE.
Deliverables
- Work products shall be thorough, accurate, and appropriately documented, complying with established criteria. The Environmental Compliance Consultant shall meet milestones/delivery schedules as outlined:
- Weekly Report detailing work accomplished and deliverable progress for the technical point of contact.
- Monthly Report combining weekly status with the monthly invoice and including deliverable progress and timecard information.
Desired Qualifications For A GSSC Environmental Compliance Consultant (PR0162) | 1099 Contractor:
- Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years; ability to communicate by email; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 5 years of relevant experience in radioactive and hazardous waste management.
